Get to Know AMB Midwifery
With a qualified team, low-risk homebirths hold similar risks as hospital births. We utilize research-based practices, including intermittent monitoring and close observation of vitals, to ensure the safety of mother and baby throughout the home birth delivery. We are trained to manage common complications that arise during birth. We carry many of the same emergency medications and tools that are available in the hospital. If you need a higher level of care or intervention, we facilitate the safe transport to a variety of providers in your area. We carefully monitor mother and baby and strive to transfer before a true emergency evolves. We are trained in first aid, CPR, NRP, and BEST (Birth Emergency Skills Training), along with several continuing education courses in midwifery-specific up-to-date care and practices.
AMB is a traveling midwifery team that serves several states. Our fees depend on location, level of risk, and office or home visits. We customize each individual's care according to their needs. We cannot bill insurance; however, we accept many health shares that cover homebirth. We offer several payment options.
Certified professional midwives are health care providers trained in traditional and evidence-based maternity care. They provide prenatal and postpartum care as well as attend childbirth at home or birth centers.
